She wore a frantic pace traveling through Southeast Asia and needed to stop. Cambodia was a good country to rest because nothing was going no where, the weather was good and Siem Reap, a small town but with charm.
Two days after arriving in the city saw a guy who was limping and I approached to ask what had happened. His name was Hak. He told me when I was eight years a mine blew off his right leg and shrapnel from the explosion killed his 2 brothers who were walking behind him. When Hak reached the age of 20 got into social aid projects and is now looking for volunteers to teach courses in English to the orphans of Cambodia.
few weeks I was teaching and the truth is that it has been one of the best experiences trip. The children were about cracks. They learned quickly, and loved to play any game. I will never forget the day that teaches them to make paper airplanes. When they came out of class and found that their planes were flying really lit up the face.
Today, from Laos, I miss them and wish them well.
If someday you're going to Siem Reap, do not forget to give classes to children.
is an unforgettable experience.
And certainly not forget to go to see Angkor Wat! Angelina
When it was gone, but it's worth.
PS: To see the typical dance of Cambodia (apsara dance) is not worth paying any tour / hotel. LAYERING orphaned children rehearse every day and always give a show at 18:30 at the orphanage. The quality of dancing is very good. Finally, the show changes according to the day of the week it is so do not hesitate to repeat.
